ReFocus provides a variety of supported living programs, each in a unique family-like atmosphere. We believe that all people need to know they are loved and supported before they can take new steps and reach for their goals in life. We specialize in supporting people as we challenge them to live their best life possible!

Supportive Living

We support more than 65 folks who live in their own homes, assisting them with shopping, cooking, housekeeping, budgeting, health management, socialization, self-advocacy and other assistance as needed. For all of our folks in the Supportive Living Program, a member of the ReFocus professional staff is always a phone call away.

Shared Living

We introduce adults with disabilities to caring host families, couples or persons who have shown an interest in sharing their lives. More than 40 ReFocus clients now share life and activities with non-disabled providers in environments where all may grow to reach their full potential.

Group Homes

ReFocus maintains and staffs 14 homes in Rhode Island communities. Each has three to six residents with 24-hour support. Folks in our group homes receive a wide range of services, including nursing. Our professional staff at each group home is trained to teach Adult Daily Living skills and resolve behavior management issues with patience, love and respect. Socialization, recreation, good nutrition, exercise, safety and self-advocacy are encouraged every day – all in a loving, trusting and challenging environment, the hallmark of our Agency.

Individualized Family Support Programs

We help families keep their adult child or other loved one living at home by providing staff support on evenings and weekends. These supports serve to ease and enhance life for families with adults with differing abilities. All such programs are unique and based on the needs of each family we support.
