2019 Winners ReFocus Employment Achievement Award

Nancy Pereira

It is a pleasure to present Nancy Pereira with this 2019 ReFocus Employment
Achievement Award.Nancy has been working in the Housekeeping Department at 45
Greeley Street since June 5, 2017. She is an extremely hard worker, who in the words of her immediate supervisor, “has exceeded all expectations”. Nancy has proven to be
reliable, thorough in her work and flexible in her schedule while maintaining a great
attitude each day.

Nancy says she loves her job and can’t wait to start work each day. As dedicated as
Nancy is to her job, she always makes time for her many friends at the GCC before she starts her shift. As she has become more comfortable in her housekeeping duties, she has
become more of a peer leader in the day program.

Her enthusiasm and willingness to learn has helped her to blossom both
vocationally and socially.

The ReFocus Housekeeping Department has been providing a valuable service in
helping our buildings look as good as possible and Nancy is an integral part of this effort.

Thank you so much for all you do, Nancy Pereira, and congratulations on this
well-deserved award.

John Nunes

It is an honor to present John Nunes with the 2019 Refocus Employment Achievement Award. John is being recognized for his work at two different jobs. For more than five years, Mr. Nunes has performed Security and Crowd Control duties at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts – home of the New England Patriots. At a Gillette co-worker’s suggestion, John applied and was hired for another position.

For the past six months, John has taken on similar responsibilities at The Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence. While eliciting information about John for this presentation, the writer heard only praise for John – both as a worker and a person. John strives to be the very best person he can be and is willing to put in the effort to reach that goal. It should also be noted that John is passionate about sports and music and his jobs involve those interests. John said his favorite part of the job is seeing the Patriots players, coaches and owners up close as they come onto the field on game days.

Congratulations, John Nunes, on receiving this ReFocus Employment Achievement Award. Your two jobs illustrate that you have created the life that you want for yourself and aren’t afraid to put in the work to get there.
